Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees
Depending on the final publishing platform/s you choose, you may or may not need to purchase an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) This is the barcode on the back of a book that helps booksellers market products more efficiently. They also make it easier for readers to find books. The current average cost is $125.
Manuscripts that are more than 65,000 words
The package price increases by $150 per 5,000 additional words.
Custom graphics, tables, charts, etc.
Basic formatting of existing graphics such as tables, charts, etc. is included the package price. Custom development of infographics may incur additional hourly fees depending on their complexity. No work will be done in this regard without an estimate and your approval. If you decide to outsource this task to a third party, file specifications will be supplied to ensure seamless integration.
How long will it take?
Because this is a collaborative process and every book is different, the answer is "It depends."
Variables such as the length of your manuscript, quantity and type of imagery required, and your communication style and cadence all influence the final equation. With that in mind, the time frame can be anything from 3-8 weeks. We will discuss your specific needs and timeline prior to initiating your project.
Can I make changes after the book is published?
It is 100% guaranteed that you will find at least one typo in your book after it is published!
One round of post-publication modifications is included in the package. Please note that these edits are limited to typos, misaligned text, and other minor errors as you will be asked to sign off on the final files prior to them being uploaded.
If changes to the overall order or layout of the book are needed, they will be billed at an hourly rate.
No work will be done in this regard without an estimate and your approval.
Will I retain all rights and royalties to my book?
Yes! You will receive and retain complete ownership of all book-related files, artwork, etc.
We hope you'll use our services for any updates that you need or for your next book, but if you choose not to, you will have everything you need to hand off to another designer or publisher.
Does this include help with marketing and promoting my book?
The Manuscript-to-Market Package does not include help with marketing and promotion. However, the Keyword Research and Description Optimization will benefit your platform listing, your current or future author website, and any paid promotion, i.e. Facebook or Instagram.
